Terms of Service
Last updated: March 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing and using PetsAboard Military PCS (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
PetsAboard Military PCS is an informational tool that helps service members and military families plan pet travel for Permanent Change of Station (PCS) moves. The Service compiles pet travel requirements from publicly available sources, including government databases, military regulations, airline policy pages, and regulatory publications. Features include a PCS trip planner, destination-specific checklists, transportation options, cost estimates, reimbursement guidance, and preparation timelines.
3. Not Affiliated with the Department of Defense
PetsAboard is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the U.S. Department of Defense, any branch of the U.S. Armed Forces, or any government agency. The Service is an independent, privately operated informational tool.
4. Informational Purposes Only
The information provided by PetsAboard is for general informational purposes only. It does not constitute legal, veterinary, financial, or professional advice. Pet travel regulations, reimbursement policies, and military procedures change frequently. While we strive to keep our data current, we cannot guarantee that all information is accurate, complete, or up to date at any given time.
You are solely responsible for verifying all requirements directly with your Transportation Management Office (TMO), base Veterinary Treatment Facility (VTF), relevant government authorities, airlines, and a USDA-accredited veterinarian before traveling with your pet.
5. Reimbursement Information
Any reimbursement guidance provided by the Service (including references to the Joint Travel Regulations, DoDI 4515.13, or specific dollar amounts) is for informational purposes only. Reimbursement eligibility, amounts, and procedures vary by service branch, duty station, and individual circumstances. Always confirm reimbursement details with your finance office or TMO before incurring expenses.
6. No Warranty
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. PetsAboard does not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
7. Limitation of Liability
PetsAboard shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages resulting from your use of the Service, including but not limited to damages for denied boarding, quarantine costs, veterinary expenses, reimbursement denials, missed PCS deadlines, or travel disruptions arising from reliance on information provided by the Service.
8. User Data
PetsAboard stores trip and pet profile data locally in your browser using localStorage. We do not collect, transmit, or store your personal data on any server. You are responsible for backing up any data you wish to preserve, as clearing your browser data will permanently remove your saved trips and pet profiles.
9. Third-Party Links and Sources
The Service contains links to third-party websites, including government agencies (.mil, .gov), airlines, military support organizations, and regulatory bodies. PetsAboard is not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of any third-party sites. The inclusion of a link does not imply endorsement.
10. Intellectual Property
